Aug Investor's Report
Hey folk,
I like what I see in the equities market now and for a good while out. As you may already know we are in our greatest bull market in history. Many theorize that the cracking ice under President Trump probably will not effect the market.
Major Indices: are holding up and I like the S&P chart. Things to know here are that critical levels are 2873 points and she has to surpass that bullishly but I see a couple of pullbacks from now until the index finally does break thru; overall I think she breaks thru. There are several ways you can play this passively which are within your TSP, configure to overweight on your C Fund or within your IRA. Your C Fund tracks the common stocks of the S&P 500 Index. An active play would be to buy the SPY which is an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) that trades at one tenth of the index. I would not make this active play until the ETF pulled back some, looking for a price point of $282 to buy with call options of course.
Crude looks to add a few dollars in gains over the next couple of weeks so buying Royal Dutch while it's depressed or the XOP ETF may be profitable.
Tech is looking really attractive with names such as Blackberry (BBY), Nividia (NVDA), Twitter (TWTR), Intel Corp (INTC), Micron (MU) and Microsoft (MSFT).
BBY- investors want to own this stock going into earnings call on 28 Aug and the price action I've seen leads me to think this stock is about to do something special.
MU- has been showing some build back after respecting support from April and if it closes above $50.11 soon then it's a buy from Emerald Chase.
TWTR- is consolidating in price action and I believe has found a bottom where the risk is defined, so it looks like upside potential from here. TWTR is a buy at current levels.
INTC- is in oversold territory and I love to buy good names that are oversold
MSFT- simply put is a buy
None of these tech names are trading under $40 per share which pretty costly so if you would like to learn how to risk less and make more then book a Basic Options Course today!
As for other sectors I really like Gilead Sciences (GILD) current levels and would hop back in after we recently took profits a couple of weeks ago.
We are Emerald Chasers....
