Utilities Are Charged Up
Recently the Select Sector Utilities (XLU) has been in an uptick stemming from a week and a half ago to now. The XLU is an exchange traded fund (ETF) holding 28 utility companies giving an investor a very diversified way to trade or invest in publicly traded utility companies. Some of these companies you may have heard of: NextEra, Duke, Dominion, Southern Co.
Opportunities such as this happen day in day out but odds are you are probably letting them pass you by either from lack of time, lack of concern or intimidation from the market. Is your financial advisor informing you of these moves? Or perhaps the news? Most of the opportunities we alert are not even mentioned on the financial news yet they do exist.
Though we distro out a good amount of information for free, we did inform subscribers exactly how to play XLU: on 27 Oct Emerald Chase bought one contract of the 24 Nov $54 calls for $1.19 and then sold that contract today on 07 Nov for $1.79. So what this means is we keep the difference between $1.79 and $1.19 times one hundred, making a pretax profit of $60 which is a +50.42% return on investment.
